Herbert Friese
Herbert is the Managing Director and founder of Hotel Solutions. Educated in The Netherlands, he is a graduate of the Hotel Management School in Groningen and hold diploma’s in Food & Beverage and General Management from Cornell University. Herbert has over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked in senior management positions in The Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Malta, Tanzania and Ghana. Prior to establishing Hotel Solutions, he held the position of Vice President West Africa for a large European Hotel brand and is well established in the West African region.
Thomas Bernklau
Dr. Thomas Bernklau is an associated consultant to Hotel Solutions and obtained an M.A. degree in Economic Geography (1985) from the University of Regensburg, Germany, as well as a Ph.D. in Tourism Geography (1990) from the University of Eichstaett, Germany. Thomas worked in various capacities for the private sector as well as bi– and multilateral organizations (United Nations Industrial Development Organization; UNIDO; and the Centrum for International Migration, CIM, an institution under the German Agency for Technical Cooperation; (GTZ). His main focus is on consultancy services regarding tourism development and investment in the Republic of Ghana, West Africa.
